The cyclical nature of things

• With this piece, I want to explore the cyclical nature of life. Recently my sister’s turtle unexpectedly laid eggs. Captivated with this sudden reminder of growth and life, I photographed the turtle before and after she laid her eggs. Using different photos of the same turtle, I want to create an image that shows a moment of extraordinary beauty within the cycle of life. The turtle’s environment, both in and out of water, reiterate the balance between the miracle of birth and the mystery of death.
